On Monday, May 19, 2025, golfers across Southern California will tee off at The Oaks Club at Valencia, not just for birdies and bragging rights, but for something far more meaningful. The annual ALS Network Golf Classic returns with an unforgettable day of golf, camaraderie, and community, all in support of individuals and families affected by ALS.

Whether you're a scratch golfer or someone who plays once a year for the fun of it, this tournament welcomes all skill levels. Every participant enjoys a full day of activities, including a gift bag, breakfast, lunch, cocktails, and access to the highly anticipated 19th Hole Reception. It’s golf for a cause, with a side of fun and surprises.

But what exactly is ALS, and why is this event so important?

Understanding ALS and the Power of Connection

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), sometimes called Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. It gradually robs individuals of their ability to walk, speak, eat, and eventually breathe. While the disease moves quickly, care and support can make all the difference in improving quality of life and extending independence.

That’s where the ALS Network steps in. The ALS Network is a values-driven organization that combines compassion, integrity, and urgency to serve the ALS community with purpose and impact. Their mission is clear: to partner with people affected by ALS, accelerate the discovery of treatments and cures, and ensure equitable access to care for everyone facing this disease.

The ALS Network offers access to consistent care, support services, and critical research funding through innovative partnerships, tireless advocacy, and a commitment to equity. They connect questions with answers, researchers with funding, and families with life-enhancing resources, helping bridge the gap between today’s challenges and tomorrow’s breakthroughs.

Why the ALS Network Golf Classic Matters

Events like the ALS Golf Classic aren’t just about raising money. They’re about raising hope. The funds generated through this tournament directly support care services, research collaborations, and advocacy initiatives that benefit people living with ALS and their families.

The tournament also serves as a platform for awareness, community engagement, and visibility for a disease that too often goes overlooked. By participating, you're not just playing a round of golf. You're becoming a part of something bigger: a movement rooted in compassion, inclusion, and determination to change the course of ALS.

How to Get Involved

Register as an individual player or grab a group and sign up with a foursome. Limited spots are available, and this event is almost sold out. Sponsorship packages are also available at various levels and include premium benefits such as logo placement, on-site visibility, and access to a network of passionate professionals and community leaders.

Can’t make it on May 19? You can still make a meaningful impact by making a donation to support the ALS Network’s ongoing work. Every contribution fuels progress in care, research, and advocacy.
