Los Angeles moved into Oscars Weekend with purpose and polish as Los Angeles Magazine hosted its 2026 Women of Impact Luncheon at the iconic The Beverly Hilton. Set against a sunlit backdrop and a room filled with influence, the annual gathering celebrated a dynamic cross-section of leaders, creatives, and entrepreneurs shaping the cultural and philanthropic fabric of the city.

At the center of the afternoon was Olivia Munn, honored as 2026 Woman of the Year and cover star of the LA Woman March issue. Recognized not only for her work on Apple TV’s Friends and Neighbors but for her deeply personal and public advocacy following her battle with breast cancer, Munn delivered a moment that resonated far beyond the ballroom.

In a thoughtful and candid keynote conversation with Jasmin Rosemberg, Munn spoke openly about resilience, early detection, and the responsibility that comes with visibility. The discussion, introduced by her longtime friend Jessica St. Clair, struck a rare balance of vulnerability and strength, setting the tone for the afternoon.

The program opened with remarks from Chris Gialanella and Sharona Nazarian, reinforcing the event’s focus on impact, leadership, and community. Prior to the keynote, a panel moderated by Emmy-winning host Carly Steel brought together a powerful group of voices, including Corinne Foxx, Ruth E. Carter, Corinne Verdery, and Genie Harrison. The conversation spanned everything from storytelling and entrepreneurship to advocacy and legacy, underscoring the breadth of influence represented in the room.

Before guests took their seats inside the International Ballroom, the garden patio transformed into a vibrant pink carpet and curated marketplace. With brand activations, cocktails, and beauty experiences woven throughout, the space felt equal parts celebration and discovery. Partners, including Maison Perrier, Empress 1908 Gin, Golden Eagle Vodka, Emporium Thai, and J Vineyards and Winery, added a polished, experiential layer that carried seamlessly into the luncheon.

Inside, more than 500 guests gathered for a program that felt both intimate and expansive. The room reflected a true cross-section of Los Angeles, with attendees including Jennie Garth, Jane Seymour, Jessica Hall, Scheana Shay, Eva LaRue, Mary Bonnet, Shani Darden, and Nancy Davis, alongside an extended network of industry leaders, founders, and creatives.

What stood out most was not just the scale of the event, but its clarity of purpose. This was not simply a luncheon timed to Oscar Weekend. It was a reflection of where Los Angeles is right now, a city driven by women who are not only building brands and shaping culture, but also redefining what influence looks like when it is rooted in authenticity and impact.

As the afternoon came to a close, the energy in the room lingered. Conversations continued, connections deepened, and the message remained clear. In a city known for its spotlight, this was a moment that made the most of it.
