Oscar nominees, presenters, and A-list talent gathered at The Maybourne Beverly Hills for a curated preview of the season’s most coveted brands

Awards season in Los Angeles has its own rhythm, a blend of anticipation, celebration, and quiet deal-making that plays out just as much behind the scenes as it does on stage. This year, that energy found a polished expression at GBK Brand Bar’s 20th Anniversary Awards Luxury Lounge, hosted inside the refined setting of The Maybourne Beverly Hills.

The annual gathering has long been a staple in the lead-up to Hollywood’s biggest night, but this milestone edition carried a particular sense of occasion. Oscar nominees, presenters, and industry mainstays moved through the lounge with ease, discovering a carefully curated mix of brands spanning wellness, technology, fashion, and experiential luxury.

Among the standout attendees were Best Supporting Actress nominee Wunmi Mosaku and Best Supporting Actor nominee Delroy Lindo, both recognized for their work in Sinners. Fellow cast members Omar Benson Miller and Andrene Ward-Hammond also made an appearance, adding to the film’s strong presence at the event. Best Song nominee Nicolas Pike joined a wide-ranging group of fellow nominees, including Chris Lavis, Nicole Nelson, Jonah Lees, Maciek Szczerbowski, Alisa Payne, Nikon Kwantu, James Dean, Geeta Gandbhir, Lee Knight, Sam A. Davis, John Kelly, and Andrew Freeman.

The lounge also drew an eclectic mix of talent from film and television, including Mira Sorvino, John Carroll Lynch, Tiffany Haddish, Lela Rochon, David Alan Grier, Adina Porter, and Lynn Whitfield. Rising names and series regulars, including Nadine Bhabha and cast members from The Pit, added to the sense that this was not just a celebration of established icons, but of the industry’s evolving creative landscape.

A strong focus on self-awareness and personal development ran throughout the experience. Paul Peters Collective brought a thoughtful dimension to the lounge, with the bestselling author and coach engaging guests around leadership and transformation. That same spirit continued with handwriting expert Anagha Deshmukh, whose detailed analyses offered insights into personality, decision-making, and hidden strengths.

Refinement extended beyond the internal. LLUXXALL School of Communication and Professional Etiquette, led by founder Alla Kesser Gross, presented a more classical approach to personal presence, gifting her signature training programs alongside her books Graceful Femininity Playbook and Art de la Table: The Hosting Playbook. It was a reminder that, in a city built on image, true confidence often lies in nuance.

Wellness remained a dominant theme across the lounge. Better U introduced its comprehensive telehealth platform that integrates holistic psychiatry and functional medicine, while iBreo showcased its sleek, portable massagers designed for recovery and relaxation. In the technology space, DMOOSTER presented its design-forward audio accessories.

Of course, no GBK experience would be complete without a strong culinary component. Guests sampled bites from Ike’s Love & Sandwiches and enjoyed inventive sweets from Fillings NYC, whose “Pie Minis” offered a playful reimagining of a classic American dessert. Seasoned Straws added a light, unexpected twist to cocktails and mocktails. Fellow Products, known for its precision-driven coffee tools, brought a quieter moment of ritual to the otherwise lively environment.

Fashion and design were equally well represented. Shady Lady’s tailored hats offered both elegance and practicality, while Glory Jewelry’s butterfly-inspired pieces added a touch of whimsy. Milena Los Angeles introduced eco-conscious candles with a distinctly elevated aesthetic, and Vybe-it focused on lip wellness through a more clinical, results-driven lens. Meanwhile, Chroma Elite Paint brought an artistic dimension, exploring the transformative power of color in both personal and environmental spaces.

The lounge also highlighted storytelling in its many forms. Action Takers Publishing offered guests the opportunity to have their personal narratives professionally brought to life, while Mercedes Ganon shared her memoir, How to Survive a Knockout, a deeply personal account of resilience across boxing, music, and life.

Throughout it all, DJ ROSÉ provided a seamless soundtrack, balancing elevated lounge sounds with moments of high-energy celebration that carried the room from early afternoon into evening.

At its core, the GBK Brand Bar experience has always extended beyond gifting and brand discovery. Philanthropy remains a central pillar, with this year’s lounge supporting organizations such as The Innocence Center, Goodwill India, and Critical Breakdown. Under the leadership of CEO Gavin Keilly, GBK Brand Bar has helped raise and secure more than $10 million for over 50 charities since 2002, a legacy that continues to shape the platform's purpose.

Two decades in, the GBK Brand Bar Awards Luxury Lounge remains a defining fixture of awards season, not simply for who attends, but for how it brings together innovation, storytelling, and impact in a way that feels both elevated and grounded. In a week defined by spectacle, it offered something more lasting: a sense of connection, intention, and forward momentum within the industry it celebrates.
