It was a night where timeless Italian elegance met the vibrant spirit of Beverly Hills. On Tuesday evening, guests gathered for an intimate dinner at Marea Beverly Hills, celebrating the arrival of Il Borro and Pinino wines to Los Angeles presented by Salvatore Ferragamo, grandson of the legendary Italian designer. The event marked a sophisticated union of winemaking, sustainability, and hospitality, emblematic of the Ferragamo family’s enduring legacy.

The evening began with an exclusive private tasting at the Ferragamo boutique on Rodeo Drive, where guests experienced the Il Borro and Pinino collections in a chic and refined setting. Making a statement entrance in a Ferrari Roma Spider a collaboration with Ferrari Beverly Hills Salvatore Ferragamo set the tone for a night that embodied Italian luxury and artistry.

After the tasting, guests were escorted to Marea Beverly Hills, the newly opened West Coast outpost of the acclaimed New York restaurant from the Altamarea Group. Known for redefining fine Italian seafood dining on Central Park South, Marea’s expansion to Beverly Hills has already made waves among LA’s culinary elite.
The evening’s six-course wine pairing dinner was masterfully guided by Francesco Grosso, Wine Director of Altamarea Group. Each pour reflected a story of heritage and craftsmanship, beginning with the sparkling Bolle di Borro Rosé, followed by the newly released Brunello di Montalcino from Pinino, and culminating with Il Borro Toscana, the estate’s first and flagship Super Tuscan blend of Merlot, Sangiovese, and Syrah. Every pairing was thoughtfully designed to harmonize with Chef PJ Calapa’s exquisite menu, creating a journey through the flavors of Tuscany reimagined for Los Angeles.

“The evening reflected the meeting of Italian craftsmanship, culinary artistry, and the Ferragamo family’s legacy of excellence,” said Ferragamo. “Our wines are born from the same values my grandfather built his fashion house on — integrity, innovation, and a deep respect for Italian heritage. Tonight was about more than fine wine and cuisine; it was about bringing together a community that shares those values. Hosting this gathering at Marea Beverly Hills felt like a natural connection.”
Echoing this sentiment, Ahmass Fakahany, Founder and CEO of Altamarea Group, shared, “It was a true pleasure to host Salvatore Ferragamo and Il Borro Wines at Marea Beverly Hills last night, such a perfect match. The evening beautifully captured the shared spirit of Italian excellence, craftsmanship, hospitality, and authenticity that defines both Marea and the Ferragamo family’s winemaking heritage.”

The dinner was not only a celebration of exceptional wine and cuisine but also a tribute to the art of Italian living, from the rolling vineyards of Tuscany to the elegant tables of Beverly Hills.
Located in the heart of Tuscany, Il Borro has been owned by Ferruccio Ferragamo since 1993 and is now managed alongside his children, Salvatore and Vittoria Ferragamo. The estate,
which became fully organic in 2015, is a member of Relais & Châteaux and embodies a holistic approach to sustainability and luxury. Its sprawling property features a restored medieval village with 41 private suites, two luxury villas (La Dimora and Villa Casetta), and 20 family-style suites known as Le Aie del Borro.
Guests can indulge in culinary experiences across four exceptional restaurants Osteria del Borro, Il Borro Tuscan Bistro, Pomario Le Aie del Borro, and Vin Café Orto del Prete all led by Executive Chef Andrea Campani. The estate also features Spa La Corte, Il Borro Bar, the Borro Concept Store, and a Wine & Art Gallery, offering visitors a complete immersion into the Ferragamo vision of refined Italian living.

Spanning 85 hectares of organic vineyards, Il Borro produces ten exceptional wines, including the celebrated Bolle di Borro Classic Method Rosé, Alessandro dal Borro IGT Toscana Syrah, Il Borro IGT Toscana Rosso, Petruna Valdarno di Sopra DOC Sangiovese in Anfora 2018, Polissena Valdarno di Sopra DOC Sangiovese 2017, and the signature Super Tuscan blend, Il Borro Toscana. Each label reflects the estate’s dedication to craftsmanship, terroir, and authenticity qualities that define the Ferragamo family name.

Founded in 2009 by Ahmass Fakahany, Altamarea Group quickly established itself as a leader in luxury dining with the debut of Marea New York, its flagship restaurant across from Central Park. The group has since expanded globally, operating over 20 restaurants across New York, Washington D.C., Dubai, Istanbul, Riyadh, Mumbai, and New Delhi. Each concept, from Ai Fiori to 53, Morini, and Nicoletta, reflects Altamarea’s core philosophy to create unforgettable experiences rooted in quality, innovation, and exceptional hospitality.
The evening at Marea Beverly Hills was more than an introduction, it was a celebration of legacy, craftsmanship, and connection. From the cobblestoned hills of Tuscany to the glamour of Rodeo Drive, the Ferragamo family continues to inspire a global appreciation for the beauty
of Italian excellence.
